The event takes place on 11th May 2017, at Brighton Racecourse. Last year’s keynote speaker, Dragon’s Den star Levi Roots was a firm favourite with the crowds, and we have no doubt Rob will have many inspiring pearls of wisdom to share with exhibition goers when he takes centre stage at our expo in May.
Rob’s rise to business success hasn’t been without challenges and rejection, but his inspirational story charts the highs and the lows of getting a new business venture off the ground. Rob is a pioneer of British business, with the Trunki factory based in Plymouth and all designs created in the UK. The Trunki head office is based in Bristol, but Trunki products are exported across the globe.
Rob certainly knows his stuff when it comes to running a business, with Trunki having sold 2.8 million suitcases worldwide. Customers certainly love the Trunki offering, with an impressive £100 million having been spent on travel solutions from the brand, keeping the firm’s 30 head office staff and 44 factory workers extremely busy to say the least!
It isn’t just customers who are big fans of Rob’s work with Trunki, as the brand has been recognised in a whopping 100 awards, with accolades praising the business’ quality design, and recognition within the business, trade and consumer sectors too. In 2012, Trunki was also named SME of the year by the National Business Awards, an accolade Rob and the staffs at Trunki are naturally extremely proud of.
Rob will be charting his success story at our Brighton Expo, sharing his tips for running a business and navigating the ever changing business landscape and avoiding pitfalls in the marketplace along the way. If your business is in the design sector, be sure to hear Rob talk about his passion for the industry and UK manufacturing, but fear not, there will be top tips for anyone in any industry-don’t miss out!
